GENERAL

1. What does Match & Style grading system means?

Match & Style grades the items based on 4 main categories as follows:

  • New: the item has not been used.
  • Excellent: slightly used with no signs of usage.
  • Very Good: slightly used with slight signs of usage (minor discoloration, or changes in the leather condition).
  • Good: used with signs of usage (obvious mark/s or color fading).

2. Where does Match & Style source their range of pre-owned designer handbags and apparel?

Currently, we only accept items from local sellers in Qatar to ensure proper investigation is done from our side and to ensure the authenticity / quality of the item/s. We are working to expand our network of sellers to give a chance for others to consign with us within the upcoming years as our team and network grows.

3. How often does Match & Style display new items?

Depends on the flow of items that we receive each month.

4. Do I have to make an account to buy/consign “sell”?

No.

5. How do you assure the best price per item?

Depending on the type of item, the current market price, the demand (is it a rare item or not), the condition, and the accessories that comes with it.

6. Are you sustainable / environmentally friendly?

Yes, we believe in contributing to making fashion a more sustainable industry through extending the life cycle of luxury products by reselling. In addition, our packaging is made from recyclable paper.

BUYERS

1. How do you authenticate the items?

In addition to our network of connections within the luxury brands, long-term experience of our team within the luxury fashion market, Match & Style is a registered company with Entrupy and we use their authentication device to authenticate the handbags and provide the authentication certificate.

2. What happens if my item was proven to be fake?

We take this matter very seriously as we honor and value the integrity of the designer’s work, therefore we offer a 100% refund for any item that is proven to be fake.

3. What brands do you sell?

4. How long does delivery take?

3-7 business days depending on the location and time of placing the order.

5. Where do you ship?

We offer worldwide shipping with DHL express.

6. Are prices open to negotiation? (do we bargain?)

No, prices are fixed, however we do have special offers from time to time for our subscribers and existing customers.

7. Can I view and inspect the item before choosing to buy it?

Yes. Unfortunately, this service is only available in Qatar at the moment, you may place the order and choose Cash on Delivery (COD) option to be able to view the item prior to purchasing it. For international orders, you may contact our team via WhatsApp and they will be happy to share additional videos.

9. Can I cancel / return / refund / exchange an item if i’m unhappy?

Yes, you have 6 hours from the time of receiving the item to decide if you like it or not. After 6 hours returns / refunds are not applicable. We do not offer exchange services. (https://www.matchandstyle.com/pages/shipping-returns)

10. Does the original branded packaging come with my purchase?

Depends on the item, this will be mentioned on the product page. However, we provide our own branded dust/garment bags and boxes with every item.

11. Payment methods?

We accept all major debit/credit cards on our website, bank transfers and Cash on Delivery (for orders in Qatar only).

Please note that for bank transfers, we process your order once the amount is received.

SELLERS

1. How can I sell with you?

WhatsApp a photo of your item/s along with all the details to our number (00974 3393 9977) and our team will be happy to assist you. Please allow 1-2 business days for the response.

2. How much of a percentage do you take when you sell an item?

20% for items with a selling price less than QR 40,000 (USD 10,959)
15% for items with a selling price higher than or equal to QR 40,000 (USD 10,959)

3. Do you pay me upfront or after the sale is done? If so, How long does it take to receive the money after the sale is done?

We sell your item on a consignment basis, once the item is sold, our team will contact you to arrange the transfer method, we pay you back based on the criteria in Q3.

4. How do you decide on the price of the item?

The pricing depends on each product, the condition, the current retail price.

5. Do you pay me back in cash or?

We offer cash payment or bank transfers depending on the availability.

6. What kind of items do you accept to display?

Currently we accept women handbags, leather goods and clothing items

7. What is your policy with regards to counterfeit / fake items?

If a seller (Consigner) submits a fake item to be sold, the seller (Consigner) will immediately be black listed by Match and Style and will not be able to consign with us in the future. In addition, the Seller (consigner) will be responsible for the full refund amount, the shipping, and a penalty fee of QR 1000 per item.

8. How long will my item be displayed on your platforms?

3 months, after the first 3 months our team will contact you and you may choose to renew your contract for another 3 months at the same price, withdraw your item, or put it on sale (return is free of charge). Maximum length to keep an item is 6 months.
